DJ Mix
Anonymous Source
Realizing that I haven’t released a new promotional mix since 2014’s Life Unfolds, I felt inspired to elevate my ‘Saturated Sound’ and create a set that was a complete departure from the dancefloor. Anonymous Source is for relaxing, diving deeper, and exploring a different, diverse sound canvas.
Life Unfolds
“The idea that we live in four dimensions should not be surprising to you.” — Neil deGrasse Tyson
Shape and Dimension
For my first new mix of 2014, Shape and Dimension, I challenged myself with new creative techniques, incorporating live instrumentation, heavier sampling, and more granular synthesis.
Dedicated, Not Duplicated
It seems techno is experiencing a revival, returning to its dark emotional roots. Recently, these sounds have reignited my passion as an artist. Dedicated, Not Duplicated pays tribute to these DJs.
The Village
The Village is a deep, tech-driven mix with unexpected twists and turns, featuring a few ‘Madoka clouds’ along the way. This mix was created exclusively for the Frisky Radio Loves NYC broadcast on Frisky Radio.
Resurrekted
Resurrekted is an expansive tale that bounces along steadily before evolving into a twisted, tribal, techno sound then finally transitioning into a musical abyss.
Scenes From the Sweet Spot
Scenes From the Sweet Spot was recorded in one take but split into 2 “scenes” for easier listening.
The Second Room
The Second Room can be divided into three 1-hour chapters and sounds like three independent mixes.
Life at Midnight
Life at Midnight is a sublime journey and was recorded exclusively for a good friend to air on her Serendipity broadcast on Proton Radio in 2007.
First Time Static
First Time Static is a lush set I recorded as my June promo mix and an exclusive mix for DJ and producer Chloe Harris for her return to internet radio.
Purpose
At times, Purpose is quite moody, shifting from deep and dark to dirty and fierce towards the end. The mix was featured on Proton Radio’s Serendipity and Sunday Night Sleaze in 2007.
Yesterday’s Gone
I sat down to create Yesterday’s Gone with specific emotions already floating around in my mind. I recorded several killer mash-ups prior to making the full mix and incorporated two of those into this mix.
Feels Like This
I created Feels Like This exclusively for Jacksonville promoter Patty Hyun’s birthday and it was a free giveaway at her August 23 party.
Modified Mind
Modified Mind is quite a moody mix to me. I love the steady pace of it. Although it is slower than my previous mixes, it bursts with creativity. I’m amazed by the intense moments in the journey. These moments are the result of the wonderfully saturated and multi-layered Madoka sound. Mind is truly organic.
8-Bit Hangover
8-Bit Hangover is a nearly three-hour mix that tells an intimate story. The first hour is deeply textured, gradually giving way to a harder, darker, more tribal-infused second act.
Cause to Move
Cause to Move was recorded exclusively for Jonathan Ojeda’s Dedicated Proton Radio show.
Aerosplice
Aerosplice perfectly captures Madoka’s spacious, big-room production flair. Segments of the set are similar to my recent performance at Club Faces in Ankara, Turkey.
Sounds for the Saturation Generation
Sounds For The Saturation Generation is one of Madoka’s first DJ mixes to be featured on a broadcast.
