Getting Closer is a collection of seven beautifully orchestrated songs that perfectly capture the emotions of a long-lost dance era. Each track draws its inspiration from warm, wonderful, early ’90s house music vibes.

The vinyl release contains five original songs and delivers Private Reality’s first double twelve-inch vinyl offering. An extended version of the album was released digitally with 8 tracks, including Madoka’s remix of “Electric.” In BPM Magazine, Jonathan Ojeda wrote, “Taking it back to the old skool, Mr. Van Wissen hits it on the nose with this 8-piece digital release featuring an early 90’s, retro-rooted, house-infused funkster” and rated the album 5/5 (2005, US).
