Clubbervision – Paz

REAL010

Release Date: June 27, 2005
Formats: Vinyl, MP3

The label takes on new Spanish duo with an amazing cut. Ideal sounds for an early summer release, contrasting its Balearic sensibility with its sharp, raw drums. Madoka takes it to the next level and adds even more peak-time flare with some massive modulations, pulsing effects, sexy inaudible voice bits and an unstoppable groove.

Madoka – Embedded

REAL009

Release Date: April 18, 2005
Formats: Vinyl, MP3

This one’s slow and steady! An ethereal builder reminiscent of earlier years, for sure. This tune perfectly captures those old rave day emotions while maintaining the always-subtle Madoka edge. Complimented finely by M.A.S. Collective’s deeper and even moodier remix to complete the package.

Roel H – Designate

REAL008

Release Date: March 28, 2005
Formats: Vinyl, MP3

For being the new kid on the block, Roel’s debut single on Private Reality Designate is tight!. The main title flows along, hitting some elegant twists and turns along the course of the ride, while “As You Wish” is a deep, dark and extremely twisted slice of House music. Both songs showcase what promises to be an amazing talent in years to come, especially from the sound of these two very big room builders.

Bart van Wissen –
Getting Closer

REAL007

Release Date: February 07, 2005
Formats: 2×12 Vinyl, MP3

startquote

Taking it back to the old skool, Mr. van Wissen hits it on the nose with this 8 piece digital release featuring an early 90’s retro-rooted, house-infused funkster. With mounds of rhythm, tons of groove and incredible diversity with every track, it’s simply my sleeper for the month.

- Jonathan Ojeda in BPM magazine

Finally — the wait is over. Bart van Wissen’s massive collection of deep, techy house cuts have finally been unleashed. The taste-maker provides seven beautifully orchestrated songs, each possessing some sort of warm, wonderful, early 1990′s house music sound. He captures the emotions of that long-lost era perfectly with this set.

The vinyl release contains five awesome songs in Private Reality’s first 2×12, double-pack offering. An extended version of the album was also released digitally via 3Digital and includes 8 tracks, including Madoka’s unreleased remix of “Electric.” The remix helps to hype van Wissen’s main effort even more while turning in another stormer. Bumping up the intensity a bit, Madoka carefully crafts an elegant cascade of the original sounds while adding a subtle, new melody to the mix.

Madoka – Afterburner

REAL006

Release Date: October 18, 2004
Formats: Vinyl, MP3

“Original Mix” featured on Shine mixed by Max Graham, 2004.

Getting a bit trancier for this release, Madoka cuts through the haze with another arena-size stormer. This tune has already crafted a solid reputation across dancefloors, as the original mix (as well as 5 other songs) was signed to another label back in 2002. As fate would have it, the deal fell through and Madoka received all the rights back, only to release officially on Private Reality. Afterburner was only one of those 6 tracks (the other being Drift) that would officially see a release date.

One side note — the original demo version of Afterburner that was passed around for some time was initially entitled “Caicedo A to 6 Mix.” Despite common misconception, the song was just titled this way because Proton Radio DJ Steven Caicedo was hanging out with Madoka in the studio the day the track was written. His route to get to the studio was to take the ‘A’ subway train from Queens and transfer to the ’6′ train to Manhattan. So, in his honor…they gave the song that title because they never thought the song would go anywhere at first and were having some fun.

The tune fell into the hands of Max Graham, and he quickly included it on his Shine compilation. The man liked it so much, he agreed to take on the remix duties, helping to solidify a solid package for Private Reality.

Bart van Wissen – Unforeseen

REAL12005

Release Date: June 07, 2004
Formats: Vinyl, MP3

Our first record featured by a new artist on the Private Reality roster. The original mix is a monster. Just how we like it — a hard, tough house rhythm contrasted with a trancy twist. Cascading sounds shine and shimmer over the beats for a sweet but pounding experience. Madoka strips it down with his remix but manages to maintain the integrityand flavor of the original to complete a great package.

Awesome tune. I’ve been playing everything else of yours to death so far too.

“Original Mix” featured on Extrema Outdoor mixed by Matthew Dekay, 2003

Set as our first release of 2004, it shaped up to be one of the biggest releases for Private Reality. At the time, Madoka considered Distant Memories to be one of his strongest tracks written. The cut is a perfect blend of elegant sounds and haunting voices. A pounding foundation prevails with flowing arpeggiated sounds over the top, coupled with silky-smooth vocal stabs. Expect to hear the usual Matthew Dekay madness with his remix. A truly masterful record that received immediate attention by heavy-hitters John Digweed, Sander Kleinenberg and Hernan Cattaneo.

Madoka – Mass

REAL12003

Release Date: July 13, 2002

The third installment from the Private Reality catalog is a massive one. Two fairly different cuts are offered on the release. “Mass” is a peak-time ocean of sound with lush strings and layered voices dramatically building throughout. The flip contains “Broadband” a twisted house pounder ideal for the earlier, deeper sets.

“Temperamental” featured on Slinky: Planet Tokyo, 2002.

The much anticipated debut release of our label’s re-launch! This package was definitely a sleeper hit of early summer. The release helped garner some early support for Private Reality. While “Coppola” was picked as the stronger of the two, “Temperamental” was considered a more emotional journey that quietly made its way onto DJ charts around the world.

Madoka – MyCity

REALCD001

Release Date: May 01, 2001
Formats: Demo CD

This was the very limited demo and the first project written under the Madoka moniker. The first track “Dive” was picked up by Plastic Fantastic Records in the UK and later remixed by Mo Shic & Zidan. The last cut “Another One of Those Days” is more rare, as it was randomly included on only 5 of the initial handful of copies that went out to industry heads. We don’t even know who originally received a copy of it at this point!
